Sunset Sarsaparilla Mini Fridge & Bluetooth Speaker
A functional Sunset Sarsaparilla mini fridge and Bluetooth speaker transformed with custom vintage advertising, distressed hardware, and enough simulated wasteland abuse to survive a few centuries in the Mojave.

Sunset Sarsaparilla mini fridge front view.
This started as a modern thermoelectric mini fridge with a built-in Bluetooth speaker, which seemed like an appropriately excessive starting point for a Sunset Sarsaparilla appliance.
I transformed the exterior around the look of Sunset Sarsaparilla from Fallout: New Vegas, with a faded yellow finish, custom vintage-style advertising, distressed hardware, chipped paint, rust, grime, staining, and plenty of accumulated wasteland abuse.
The existing speaker is built into the front of the fridge, and its circular grille made a perfect excuse for an oversized bottle-cap treatment. The result keeps both of the donor appliance's original functions: it's still a working mini fridge, and the Bluetooth speaker can still be paired with a phone or other compatible device.
The detailing continues around the entire fridge. One side carries a large weathered Sunset Sarsaparilla advertisement, while the other features a pin-up-style "Saddle Up Cowboy" ad. The rear received the same weathering treatment so the illusion doesn't abruptly stop when the fridge gets turned around.
It's one of my favorite kinds of projects: taking an ordinary modern object, preserving what makes it useful, and rebuilding its appearance until it feels like something that belongs in a completely different world.
Want something similar? I build custom themed mini fridges and other functional props as commissions. If you've got a fictional brand, game, movie, faction, or completely different idea that deserves to become a suspiciously weathered appliance, send me a request.
