NCR Mini Fridge

This little fridge looks like it was requisitioned by the NCR, and treated with approximately the level of care you'd expect from military equipment after the end of the world.
I started with a modern thermoelectric mini fridge and transformed the exterior into a piece of New California Republic equipment inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. The original finish was replaced with an NCR-inspired white and red color scheme, custom graphics, Ranger artwork, aged hardware, grime, rust, chipped paint, staining, and layers of weathering intended to make the whole thing feel used rather than simply decorated.
I carried the treatment around the entire fridge instead of stopping at the front. The sides feature NCR Ranger artwork and weathered vents, while the back retains the functional cooling hardware surrounded by additional wear, grime, and a small radiation marking. Even the handle, hinges, latch, edges, and other hardware were aged so the modern donor fridge wouldn't immediately give the illusion away.
Under all of that wasteland abuse, it's still a working mini fridge. The interior remains usable, including the removable shelf, and the unit can run from household power or 12V power.
This was another chance to play with one of my favorite parts of prop making: taking something completely ordinary and trying to make it look like an object that genuinely belongs in a fictional world.
Want something similar? I build custom themed mini fridges as commissions. The theme doesn't have to be Fallout. If there's a fictional company, faction, game, movie, or other universe that clearly needs its own questionably maintained refrigeration equipment, send me an idea.
